About Me

I’m a Counsellor, Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, Clinical Resource Therapist and Supervisor, with 20 years of experience working across community, specialist palliative care settings and private practice. Throughout my career, I have supported individuals, couples and families through a wide range of complex life challenges, including mental health concerns, grief and bereavement, chronic illness, trauma, workplace stress and significant life transitions. My work has also included relationship counselling, where I draw on evidence-informed approaches to help partners strengthen communication, rebuild trust and navigate conflict more effectively.

With a background spanning both direct clinical practice and senior leadership roles, I have provided therapeutic support to clients while also contributing to service development and team culture. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of the emotional, relational, and practical challenges people face when dealing with illness, uncertainty, loss, and change.

In addition to my clinical work, I have spent many years mentoring, supervising, and leading teams. Supporting other practitioners has strengthened my appreciation for reflective practice, professional integrity, and the importance of sustainable, trauma-informed, person-centred care. I now offer clinical supervision to social workers and counsellors, creating a collaborative space for clinical reflection, skill development, and ongoing growth.

My therapeutic practice is grounded in trauma-informed and evidence-based Focused Psychological Strategies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Resource Therapy (RT) and Gottman Method Couples Counselling. I integrate these modalities based on each client’s needs, ensuring that every session is purposeful, responsive, and aligned with their goals. My aim is to support clients to gain clarity, strengthen coping, regain a sense of control in their lives and create lasting change.

Across all areas of my work, I am committed to supporting people to make sense of their experiences, regain clarity, control and confidence in a way that feels meaningful and achievable. My approach remains practical, collaborative and grounded in the belief that change is possible at any stage in life.

If you feel I may be the right fit to support you, and you’re ready to make meaningful changes in your life, I’d welcome the opportunity to work together.
